WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

As a mid- to senior-level Security Engineer, you will work as part of a team to provide cybersecurity leadership and program management directly to WizeHive team members and our clients. You will build and examine reports, data, and analytics to identify suspicious activity and threats. You will ensure SOC2 compliance, participate in regular audits, and proactively work to identify and prevent cyber threats. 


LOCATION:
This role can work remotely in the United States. WizeHive does not provide visa sponsorship at this time.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE:

  • Perform infrastructure security design
  • Perform vulnerability assessments
  • Perform incident response and/or digital forensics on hardware
  • Harden systems for cyber resilience
  • Research new threats, attack techniques and methods
  • Install and maintain security products
  • Monitor system events, log files and alerts
  • Evaluate new security products and solutions
  • Perform orchestration and automated response (SOAR)
  • Oversee enterprise patch management and vulnerability remediation
  • Integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • A degree with a cybersecurity focus
  • Prior experience working in modern cloud development infrastructure (K8’s, Terraform, AWS etc)
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or risk management (if no degree, +2 years experience).
  • A passion for security challenges
  • High personal and professional ethical standards
  • Well-developed technical writing skills
  • Quantitative or analytical work/school experience
  • Some type of cybersecurity certification (SSCP, CompTIA Security+, etc.)
  • Experience with any security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS, COBIT, etc.)
  • Experience with any compliance standards (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FEDRamp, etc.)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • Security Operations (SOC)
  • Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC) practices
  • System Administration (Windows, Linux)
  • Cloud Administration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Network or firewall administration

SALARY RANGE:

$125,000-170,000
