WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

WizeHive is looking for a full-time Instructional Designer to join our growing Education Services team. The Instructional Designer plays a critical role creating engaging learning content to help educate internal staff and clients on WizeHive’s platforms . The ideal candidate has a broad range of professional experience which includes adult learning principles, online course creation, and project management skills. Specifically, the ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing e-learning projects within budget, timeline, and scope.

LOCATION:

This role can work remotely within the United States.  WizeHive does not provide visa sponsorship at this time.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE:

  • You will partner with department managers, trainers and SME’s to conceptualize instructional content.
  • You will develop storyboards/wireframes and participate in brainstorming sessions.
  • You will use design tools to draft screen layouts, graphics, videos and interactions appropriate to the learning content.
  • You will develop and test innovative learning content that captivates the learner’s attention to support the learning process and make their learning experience as effective, pleasurable, and efficient as possible.
  • You will implement e-learning content and process analytical data to report on content effectiveness.
  • You will manage the course library and make updates and edits as needed.
  • You will communicate with key stakeholders on content progress, completion and efficacy.
  • You will work with the Education Services team to design, modify and edit training documentation and assets as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, learning design, instructional technology or a related field
  • Understanding of ADDIE or SAM design models
  • 1+ years designing and implementing e-learning content in a corporate setting
  • Expertise in executing/supporting instructional technologies and applications for engagement, learning and assessment within a learning management system
  • Strong project management/problem-solving skills, superb attention to detail and ability to engage with executives, SMEs, learners and trainers
  • Knowledge of relevant software and demonstrated skill in the following areas: 
    • Audio and video recording and editing (Camtasia, Adobe Premier, Adobe Audition)
    • Graphic design (Adobe Photo Shop, Adobe Illustrator, Coral Draw) 
    • eLearning development 
    • LMS administration (including course upload, reporting, etc.), 
    • Development of user manuals and Quick Reference Guides

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

  • Strong skills in multimedia design, communication, and proofreading
  • Knowledge of SaaS based businesses
  • Experience with digital video production & editing for online content
  • Experience creating 2D animation
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Experience designing and developing software, leadership, and project management training
