This role will report to the Director of People. You will be responsible for managing, updating and administering benefits and payroll to our team. You will be an integral part of moving WizeHive’s people team towards efficiency and best practices, including making systems “talk” to each other. WizeHive currently uses Ease, Paychex, and several other systems.

This role can work remotely in the United States. WizeHive does not provide visa sponsorship at this time.


  • Primary responsibility for semi-monthly payroll processing for ~100 employees
  • Assist with benefits, STD, LTD, FMLA, 401k and Cobra administration and management
  • Handle benefits enrollment and onboarding for all new hires
  • Enter hires, status changes, terminations, tax and direct deposit changes
  • Maintain files and reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Administer background checks for prospective new hires
  • Verifies completeness of employee information in accordance with established procedures, checklists and audits
  • Ensures that all employees have necessary follow-up verbal and written clarity on benefits information and enrollments as not to miss required new enrollment and qualifying event timelines for enrollment
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive documents and employee relations


  • Degree in human resources, business administration, accounting or finance strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years in a similar position
  • Payroll administration experience utilizing a 3rd party processor (e.g., ADP, Paychex, etc)
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office, ability to navigate large data sets within Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through is required
