SUCCESS STORY BACKGROUND

Last summer, Jon Giese was asked by a client to help her find a tool to help juggle multiple projects and collaborate with her staff and clients. As Founder and President of Tech9, a Cleveland-based Information Technology consulting business, Jon is often asked to recommend and support new technology for his clients’ businesses.

Jon had been using Outlook to manage his email, Excel spreadsheets to keep track of active projects, and a shared network drive to store client documents. He spent a few months evaluating various file sharing and project management collaboration software products, including Basecamp, Wrike and others. At the recommendation of one of his clients he also began evaluating WizeHive.

Most of the products were strong in one area but weak in another. One was good for team collaboration but fell short when uploading and sharing files. Another was good at managing individual projects, but forced you to log in and out of the software when moving back and forth between different projects.

THE WIZEHIVE SOLUTION

When Jon tested WizeHive he knew he had found something different. WizeHive is structured around individual private workspaces that can each be used to manage an individual project or customer and which can be shared with a unique group of people. In addition to being able to view and work on one project at a time, the WizeHive interface offers each individual project on its own tab, making logging in and out to switch projects unnecessary. "Information is centralized in one place, which is a great feature. In addition, I can also drill down into a particular workspace and filter even further by using pages to break my information down by topics."

THE RESULTS

After finding WizeHive, Jon not only recommended it to his client, but began using it himself internally. His ability to look at his client workload through one centralized window increased his productivity while providing a clear picture of what is outstanding for each client. Jon states, "It seems a lot easier to find and share the information that I need and it really solves a big problem for me - and for my clients."

Jon has been using WizeHive successfully since August and has also started using it as an internal ticketing system to keep track of his hours and his employees' assignments. He has integrated workspaces with two of his clients, as well as having all of his clients set up internally for his team to manage. Everyone agrees that WizeHive has provided a much-needed solution both for his clients and for Tech9.
