What is shown on the Activities Window?
The Activities Window displays two things: (1) Notes and replies that were entered, and (2) system generated activities such as someone joining a workspace, someone creating a task, etc. The activity window can provide you with a stream of notes like Twitter and/or can serve as an audit trail for your workspace.
How do I add a note?
Select the Add Note button, enter the desired text, and save the note.
Notes:
- If you move to the Workspace where you want this note to be stored the Workspace will be filled in automatically for you. Otherwise you can select the Workspace and page from the drop down menus.
- If you enter a note to a workspace that is different from the one you are viewing (you are not on that Workspaces tab) you will get a note reminding you that you won't immediately see the note once it is saved.
- If you are on the ALL Workspace, the Workspace and Page will say Uncategorized. You may add data to the uncategorized workspace or to an uncategorized page, but it will only appear on the uncategorized pages.
- You can embed as many images and /or attach as many files as you like to the note. When you attach a file it will also add the file to the files screen.
- You can make a note private by selecting one person to send it to. Only that person will see that note.
How do I reply to a note?
Select "reply" besides the note you want to reply to, enter your text and save the reply.
How do I edit a note?
Select "edit" besides the note you want to reply to, make your changes and make sure to save the note again.
Note: You can only edit notes you created if you are not an administrator.
How do I delete a note?
Select "delete" besides the note you want to delete and press delete.
Note: You may only delete a note that you created if you are not an administrator. In addition, you may not delete a system generated note.
How can see just Notes & replies?
Select the "View" drop down from the menu and select "Notes Only" or "Notes & replies". To see all activity, including system generated activity, select "All activity".
How can I print the activities?
Select the print icon in the menu area to print the activities that are on the screen.
How can I see more notes on the screen?
You can limit the text shown on the screen for each note by selecting "Settings" from the menu, selecting the "Limit Characters" option, and setting it to a number less than 100.
How do I send a note through email?
You can submit notes via email to any of your Workspaces.
If you are not using an email security code (specified in your Profile settings and described below), address the email to: notes@wizehive.com. Then, in the subject line put the name of the workspace followed by a colon (:) followed by the name of a page in brackets ([ ]). For instance, if you are adding a Note to a workspace called ABC and a page called Marketing, you would include this in your subject line [ABC:Marketing]. You may also include other information in your subject line, just put it in outside of the brackets. Finally, type the rest of your text in the body of the email.
